2020 - 2021 NYHL Learn to Skate

You are about to register online for the NYHL Learn to Skate Program for the 2020-2021 season. 

If you have at least 1 hockey player currently participating in the NYHL you are encouraged to log into your existing account so that you can use the information currently stored in the system.  If you don't know your password, you can leave the password blank on the login page and a password will be emailed to you.  If you are new to the program please create a new account.

Make sure to enter at least one email address for a parent or guardian as the majority of our communications will be through email.


Details of the program are as follows:

The LTS program will be held on Sunday mornings beginning on 11/01/2020 and ending on 2/07/2021 (15 sessions).  The cost of the program will be $185.00 per participant and $100.00 for additional siblings.  Each class will run from 10:00 AM – 10:50 AM at the Graf Rink in Newburyport.

Learn to Skate participants are required to wear a protective helmet (hockey or bicycle) and ice skates.  It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that participants also wear protective knee pads, elbow pads, and gloves/mittens.  Please make sure the name of your son/daughter is written on white tape on the front of his/her helmet.

COVID Updates – due to COVID-19 the Graf Rink has issued specific guidance with respect to the use of their facility.  For more information please visit the Graf Rink website

At this time the NYHL Learn to Skate Program will be limited to 45 participants. 

Only 1 parent/guardian will be allowed into the rink with each participant – no spectators or siblings will be allowed until further notice. 

Face coverings must be worn at all times while inside the rink and social distancing must be practiced at all times. 

Please pay attention to all signage with respect to entrance and exits.

Participants should arrive at the rink completely dressed only needing to put on their helmets and skates.  Participants will be allowed to enter the rink 15 mins before the start of their class – please do not arrive any earlier.

Face coverings are optional for participants while on the ice, but strongly recommended.  All coaches and volunteers on the ice must wear face coverings at all times. 

The pro-shop will not be open for skate rentals – participants must bring their own equipment. 

The Graf Rink does require a waiver to be signed on behalf of each participant – this waiver must be provided to the rink on the 1st day of the program.  There will also be a sign in sheet that will need to be filled out before each class for tracing purposes.
