Our annual Tag Day fundraiser is scheduled for this coming Saturday, November 16th. Please see the schedule below for your team’s time slot.
Mites and Mite Instructional: 7:30 - 9:00 am
Squirts: 9:00 - 10:30 am
PeeWees: 10:30 – 12:00 pm
Bantams: 12:00 -1:30 pm
Players and parents will meet in the Graf Rink lobby at your assigned time for check in. We will give you your Tag Day location and will provide cups for collecting donations. Players will need to be wearing their team game jerseys and should be dressed for the weather! Please make sure to return the cups to the Graf Rink lobby at the end of your assigned time. You will need to check out with the Board Member that is present and collect your “Cash Calendars” before leaving.
If your family has multiple players in the program, your children can participate at the same time slot. All players are required to participate – there are no exemptions. Should you miss Tag Day or choose not to participate in Tag Day, a $40 Tag Day Fee per child will be placed on your player’s account. Tag Day Fees will need to be paid before the end of November. Payments should be made payable to the NYHL and mailed to the NYHL at 25 Storey Ave – PMB 157 – Newburyport, MA 01950.
Mites, Squirts, and PeeWees will need to have a parent and/or guardian present at each location. Bantam parents are encouraged to accompany their players. Please remember to discuss appropriate behavior with your players in advance. Your sons/daughters are representing the NYHL and our community – please make sure they are respectful and thankful.
Players will be responsible for picking up a cash calendar when they check out from Tag Day. Each player will be responsible for selling ten (10) entry tickets which will cost $10.00 each; for a total of $100.00 due back to the NYHL per player. There will be a family cap of $200.00 representing twenty (20) entry tickets in total. Cash calendars will need to be returned to the NYHL no later than Monday, December 23rd as the drawings will commence on January 1st and will continue each day in January. Winners will be posted on the NYHL website weekly.
The NYHL is asking for one (1) parent volunteer per team to collect and track the cash calendars due for their team. If you are able to assist your team please speak with your coach to coordinate.
The NYHL is still looking for donation items for the cash calendar fundraiser. If anyone has donation items available for the Cash Calendars – please email the NYHL Board of Directors (
) before Friday of this week. The more items we receive to be used for donations the less cash we will need to give away as a prize, which means more money for the league! Examples of donation items could be local gift certificates, sporting event tickets, prize baskets, etc. The suggested value of a donation item could be $25-$100.
Each fundraising event helps to offset the significant costs of ice time and league expenses for our players. Thank you in advance!
