USA Hockey Registration:
If you have not already done so, you must go online and register your skater with USA Hockey. This renewal is required annually for all players and coaches. Players and coaches will not be allowed on the ice until they are registered. If you are not registered and you step on the ice and get hurt, NYHL is not responsible. The link is: https://www.usahockeyregistration.com/login_input.action
When completed, USA Hockey will send you a confirmation. Please forward this confirmation to firstname.lastname@example.org and maintain a hardcopy for your own record.
Valley Hockey League also requires individual players to register on their web site. When that link is available, we will notify you.

Watch for practices and games to be posted on nyhl.org. Our ice time at Phillips Exeter Academy will begin the week of October 1st.
NYHL will continue to offer Monday Skills night for all teams throughout the season. These skills sessions will be run by our current coaching staff. Mites and Squirts will be on the ice together, followed by the PeeWees and Bantams on the ice together. Additional ice time at the Graf will be available on a rotating basis on Wednesday nights throughout the fall. Squirts and Bantams will practice at Phillips Exeter on Tuesdays. Mites and Peewees will practice at Phillips Exeter on Thursdays. The practice schedules are subject to change based on ice availability. Registration for the Newburyport Youth Hockey League's Mite Instructional Program is now open for the upcoming 2019-2020 season. This program begins in September so register now!
Mite Instructional Hockey is geared towards 1st time players that are interested in learning the sport of hockey and continuing to develop their skating and hockey skills. This program is designed for girls and boys ages 5-8 (as of 12/31/19). This is a great introduction to hockey for players and families and is super convenient. All practices and games are located at the Graf Rink here in Newburyport.
Players will have two dedicated 50 minute practices each week and one cross ice game on Saturday afternoons. All Instructional players will also have the option to skate on Sunday mornings with the learn to skate group to continue to work on their skating skills. This program offers up to 4 hours of skating each week - by far the best deal for Instructional Hockey Programs in our area!
If you have questions or concerns about the program please feel free to reach out to Coach Dick Tierney at (978) 465-0128. Coach Tierney has helped to run the NYHL Mite Instructional Program for over 30 years!
